All Hallows Nursing Home is a Registered Care Home with Nursing situated in Bungay, Suffolk. It is registered to provide 24 hour Nursing Care to 51 residents who require such care by reason of old age and physical disability and it accepts residents from the private sector, Social Services and the National Health Service.

We aim to care for residents who are physically dependent; many will need full assistance with most activities of daily living and require nursing care from qualified staff with the experience, knowledge and skills to meet their needs.

FACILITIES

Each resident has their own single room some with en-suite facilities. There are 3 large bright day rooms and a dining room.

Residents are encouraged to maintain their own leisure interests and hobbies but are given the opportunity of joining in activities. Various musical and other events are scheduled for the resident’s enjoyment throughout the year.

We also organise trips out and every room has a telephone and internet connection. There is a library facility which can supply large print books, talking books and newspapers. A range of complimentary services are available: Chiropody, Laundry, Hairdressing, Optician, Newspapers and Toiletry Shop.

A multi-denominational chapel is available on-site with a weekly service.

VISITING HOURS

The Nursing Home has an open visiting policy and welcomes visitors throughout the day.

 

HOUSEKEEPING

All our menus offer freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced food cooked on the premises using locally sourced produce. There is always a choice of hot and cold dishes and we can also provide dishes for individual taste.

QUALITY

In 2008 the Nursing Home achieved the Gold Standards Framework accreditation recognising the high standards of care in the home. The Nursing Home was one of just 34 from across the whole of the UK and one of just 3 across Norfolk and Suffolk to receive this much coveted award. 

The Home also achieved the Investment in People Accolade in 2000 and has remained an Investment in People Employer to date,with the latest accredation awarded in February 2009.

REFERRALS

Referrals to All Hallows Nursing Home can be made via both Norfolk and Suffolk Social Services Departments, GP’s Care in the Community Teams, District Nurses, relatives, hospitals and the prospective resident themselves. If a person would like to be referred to All Hallows Nursing Home it always helps to express their choice to their doctor, consultant or other health professional.

Private beds are available for long term care and private respite care for residents wishing to self fund. For further information about private beds please contact Matron.

A full pre-admission assessment is undertaken to ensure that a resident's needs and expectations can be met.

We encourage all prospective residents to visit the Home before taking the decision to make it their home. Should they make the decision to live at All Hallows Nursing Home, Matron or a senior nurse will meet with the resident on admission. Regular reviews of the arrangement are undertaken to ensure the resident is happy with the care they are receiving. Of course, Matron is on hand if any additional meeting should be required.
