All Hallows Hospital

With four acres of traditional country garden set in the beautiful Waveney Valley, the Hospital is an ideal location for giving the peace and professional care so important in illness.

The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly but supported by well-trained staff able to meet the special needs of each individual.

Hospital bed

All Hallows Hospital is a focal point for Healthcare in our locality, and has 27 in-patient beds: 8 in St Edmund's House, a long term care unit providing 24 hour nursing care to individuals with a physical or sensory disability and 19 providing predominantly post acute, palliative, GP assessment and rehabilitation care, including 4 beds for individuals with complex needs.

The Hospital cares for patients with HIV too. There is a busy Physiotherapy Department and the All Hallows Homecare service operates from the Hospital, delivering care and domestic tasks to a wide range of people living in their own home. Situated in the grounds behind the Hospital is the Day Treatment and Therapy Centre, which offers Daycare services to local people.

Our work at All Hallows provides a valuable service to our local community, for the young and old who have rehabilitation and long stay needs.

QUALITY

The Hospital is recognised as an Investor in People and in 2009 achieved 3 years accreditation with the Hospital Accreditation Programme (HAP), the highest award obtainable.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM

All Hallows Hospital is supported pastorally by the Community Chaplains and Sisters who devote their time to the pastoral/spiritual needs of the patients, relatives and staff.

NURSING TEAM

The nursing team, led by Matron, have specialised training and skills needed for individualised patient care needs. All Hallows is very well equipped with aids for disabled and dependent patients and has a specially adapted minibus to transport wheelchair patients. All Hallows aims to achieve high standards of care; together with the love and devotion of the staff, it earns respect and high regard from those involved with Healthcare.

VISITING HOURS

We have an open visiting policy and welcome visitors throughout the day. Please check with nursing staff if more than two people wish to visit at one time.

HOUSEKEEPING

The Catering Department endeavors to supply patients with freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced food cooked on the premises. There is a choice of hot and cold food and three courses are offered both at lunch and supper time. Special dietary needs can be met. We also pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the Hospital; this was identified during the Hospital Accreditation Survey and achieved a Commendation.
